Community Safety Guidelines
How we keep the challenge safe, kind, and age-appropriate — and how you can help.
Sharing Photos Safely
Photos make stories come alive, but a child\'s privacy always comes first. Follow these four rules before posting to the Kindness Gallery:
Show the moment, not the identity
Crop or frame photos to focus on the kind act — hands planting a tree, cards being made — rather than a child's full face and school uniform.
First names only
Use your child's first name (or a nickname) in stories. Never include last names, addresses, phone numbers, or school names in the visible photo or caption.
Skip location clues
Avoid photos that show street signs, house numbers, school logos, or landmarks that could identify exactly where a child lives or studies.
Get consent first
Parents/guardians decide what is shared. Never post photos of children other than your own or your students without their parents' permission.
Staying Protected Online
Use devices together
For younger kids, log acts and browse the gallery together with an adult — it turns online time into bonding time.
Report anything that feels off
If you ever see a story, photo, or account that seems wrong, flag it to us immediately via the Contact Support page. We review every report.
Keep conversations in the app
All community activity happens here on the platform. We never ask kids to move chats to other apps, and we will never ask for personal info.
Kindness goes both ways
Our community celebrates others. Negative comments about a child or family are not tolerated and will be removed.
